Appeasing Iran failed.. How to move on? US President Donald Trump By: Shahriar Kia  Riyadh Daily, September 28, 2017   - The Iran nuclear agreement, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was eventually signed in 2015 after a series of initially covert, and thus overt talks amongst various parties. While the deal was boasted of enjoying a long slate of strengths, its imperfections were cloaked by JCPOA advocates – led by senior Obama administration officials – and allowed the broader challenges posed by Iran to go unanswered. All, from left to right, liberal to conservative, Democrat, and Republican, must come to realize that the rendered cons of the Iran nuclear deal completely overshadow the very few pros. However, defined, the West has appeased Iran and given way for Tehran to continue advancing its ballistic missile arsenal, dispatch proxies across the Middle East and escalate domestic human rights violations, all...

Foreign Affairs Committee Passes Various Measure to Strength Hezbollah Sanctions US House Foreign Affairs Committee House foreign affairs committee, 09.28.17 Washington, D.C . – The House Foreign Affairs Committee, chaired by Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), passed nine measures, including two measures to further sanction Hezbollah (H.R. 3329 and H.R. 3342) and a measure to strengthen U.S.-Africa trade (H.R. 3445). On the measures to further sanction Hezbollah, Chairman Royce said:  “Hezbollah and Iran are reportedly introducing game-changing facilities into the region—independent factories that can produce rockets to be used against Israel and our allies.  We also have reports of missile factories opening up in Lebanon near mosques, homes, hospitals, and schools.  It is clear that Hezbollah intends to increase their exploitation of Lebanese civilians as defenseless human shields.  So today the Committee is taking action against Hezbollah and its sp...

The world must stop ignoring Iran's pattern of obstructing nuclear inspections

The world must stop ignoring Iran's pattern of obstructing nuclear inspections Giving Tehran a free pass is simply too dangerous by Alejo Vidal-Quadras   Washington Examiner, Sept. 27, 2017  - The Islamic Republic of Iran has demonstrated a long pattern of obstruction regarding inquiries and investigations into its nuclear activities, and that pattern persists more than two years after the conclusion of a landmark nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers. The conclusion of that agreement in 2015 was to some extent dependent upon the neglect of certain controversial issues, including access to Iranian military sites, where the regime apparently carried out research and development related to weaponization aspects of the country's nuclear program. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action effectively skirted this issue by making it theoretically possible for the International Atomic Energy Agency to ask for and receive access to military sites...

The 2015 pact between six major powers and Iran restricts its nuclear activities in exchange for the lifting of sanctions against the Islamic Republic. Compliance with those curbs is being verified by the International Atomic Energy Agency. IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano has defended the deal as a major step forward while declining to comment specifically on criticism of it by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, who has c...

Iran : Production and testing of new ballistic missiles by the mullahs’ regime and the need for a decisive policy National Council of Resistance of Iran On Saturday, September 23, the religious fascism ruling Iran informed of test launching a new ballistic missile named Khorramshahr. The range of the missile, which was shown on a military parade the previous day, is said to be the commander of the air force of the Army, is 2000 km, and has the ability to carry several warheads, according to the IRGC Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of IRGC Aerospace. The purpose of the mullahs’ regime for the development of ballistic missiles is to explicitly violate  United Nations  Security Council resolution 2231, and, on the other hand, to pave the way for intensifying the war and terrorist interventions in the region and cover up the internal crises. This action well confirms the fact that the unjustified concessions received in the nuclear deal not...

Is Iran’s enhanced ballistic missile capability a calculated move? By Heshmat Alavi Special to Al Arabiya English Monday, 25 September 2017 Text size  A   A   A As the North Korea nuclear standoff and the future of Iran’s nuclear deal has absorbed an all-too enormous amount of international attention, a more important prism on Iran’s regional hostility must not go neglected. During the United Nations General Assembly the controversial nuclear pact, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), took center stage once again. All the while Tehran has throughout the years overtly and covertly pursued a massive campaign hinging on meddling and extending its lethal ideology of Islamic fundamentalism across the Middle East. The rendered atrocities can be witnessed across the region, especially in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon. This threatens the very fabric of the Middle East populace and bears the potential of plunging thi...
