Iran: Truck drivers’ strike marks second week, stretched to more than 310 cities Iran, October 6, 2018 -  Saturday signals the 14 th  consecutive day of a nationwide strike launched by thousands of truck drivers across more than  310 cities  throughout Iran. All of the country’s 31 provinces are witnessing truckers courageously continue their strike, protesting low paychecks, skyrocketing prices for spare parts and tires, and authorities refusing to respond to the truckers’ righteous demands. This  strike , despite all the obstacles, has been able to continue in the face of numerous threats and plots launched by Iranian regime authorities. People Of Ahvaz Demonstrate Over Sabotaging Karoon Water In Iran On Friday, December 22, 2017, a group of people in Ahvaz gathered in protest to the transferring of Karoon water project in Iran. People held up banners and chanted their  demands  to prevent the project from taking place. Iranian officials have planned a water-channeling project based on distributing more water from Karun’s main tributaries to other provinces of Iran. Karoon , a large river that originates from the Zard-Kuh slopes of the Bakhtiari Province in western Iran, receives many tributaries before passing through the capital of Khuzestan Province. Due to the quality and amount of Karun’s water, the largest agricultural industry and investment is in this region. But the water has been channeled to other provinces. Women's News Iran: Women actively participate in Teachers’ Day protest gatherings Women teachers  actively and extensively participated in nationwide gatherings in Iran called for Thursday, October 5, 2017, on the World Teacher’s Day. Iranian teachers demanded not only their own legitimate rights but also the release of imprisoned teachers and political prisoners. The protest gatherings were held in Tehran, Yazd, Ahwaz, Shiraz, Mashhad, Tabriz and Gilan. The state-run ILNA news agency reported an estimated 500 teachers participated in Tehran’s gathering. Iran: Nationwide protest by education staff in 20 provinces on the occasion of International Teacher's Day National Council of Resistance of Iran On Thursday, October 5, on the occasion of the International Teacher's Day, at least 28 cities in 20 provinces of the country witnessed protest gatherings of the education staff. In Tehran, employed and retired education staff along with labor activists, retired workers and other retirees and families of political prisoners gathered in front of the regime's planning and budget organization. The presence of about 3000 women education staff frustrated of the mullahs’ tyranny in the gathering was impressive.
