Iran: Truck drivers’ strike marks second week, stretched to more than 310 cities Iran, October 6, 2018 -  Saturday signals the 14 th  consecutive day of a nationwide strike launched by thousands of truck drivers across more than  310 cities  throughout Iran. All of the country’s 31 provinces are witnessing truckers courageously continue their strike, protesting low paychecks, skyrocketing prices for spare parts and tires, and authorities refusing to respond to the truckers’ righteous demands. This  strike , despite all the obstacles, has been able to continue in the face of numerous threats and plots launched by Iranian regime authorities. 140 Belgian Parliamentarians Support Iran Protests For A Democratic Change 140 Belgian parliamentarians support Iran Protests for a democratic change 140 Belgian Parliamentarians  has issued a solidarity  statement expressing their support Iranian People’s Demands for Democratic Change and the  Iranian Diaspora’s annual Paris convention , organized on June 30 th . I am happy to announce the joint statement by 140 parliamentarians in Belgium in support of the current protests, strikes and uprising for a democratic change in Iran. The signatories are from  major political parties from the Federal parliament , regional parliaments, European Parliament and the senate. Thursday night, March 1, suppressive forces arrested at least 10 striking workers of Ahvaz steel during a raid on the homes of a number of them. This repressive action took place on the tenth day of the strike of more than 300 Ahvaz steelworkers and their daily gatherings in front of the governorate.
