Enraged Victims Of Caspian Credit Institute Theft Throw Eggs At Institute Building In Rasht, Iran
On Tuesday, December 19, 2017, a group of plundered shareholders from the Caspian Credit Institute Branch in Rasht, a large city in the northern part of Iran, rallied in protest to the plunder of their savings.
During this gathering, the plundered people threw eggs and tomatoes at the Caspian Credit Institute building.
The Caspian Credit Institute is an investment establishment with branches in various cities throughout Iran. It was launched and linked to the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and supported by the Central Bank. Many people have deposited their savings in this institute. In the past few years, thousands of people have not been able to withdraw their deposits and their assets and savings were taken by the institutes. This left many people and their families penniless and enraged. They have staged continuous protests and rallies throughout Iran demanding their money back but have not received any response from the officials.

Some of the slogans heard in the protest in Rasht, Iran were:
– “Death to thieves”
– “Death to the government”
– “The motto of every Iranian death to Rouhani “
– “The moderate government has emptied our pockets”
One of the elder women in the protest banged on the door of the Caspian Credit Institute entrance and demanded officials to address the plundered people’s concerns. She and other protesters began throwing eggs and tomatoes at the building when the Institute did not answer to their demands. They also wrote slogans on the entrance door demanding their rights and assets. After gathering at the front entrance of the Institute, they rallied and marched in the streets of Rasht chanting warnings to the Iranian regime to take their demands seriously and return their savings.
