Political prisoner Sohei Arabi on dry hunger strike

Iran, March 6, 2018 - Iranian political prisoner, Sohei Arabi has started his no food-no drink hunger strike from Monday, March 5th in protest to his inhumane and unlawful extension of imprisonment.
In a message to his clerical captors, Sohei Arabi says: 'You have violated my basic rights, but I ignored. At least allow me to donate my body part to those who need it. I doubt that I could continue to live more than 2 days. I will not take any food, nor drink and will not allow you to give me IV fluid.
'I should have been freed about six months ago on August 29th of last year, according to your own law. But I am still in prison deprived of the most basics such as bed.
'I am a political prisoner, but I have been placed among routine criminals who are some encouraged and provoked to harass and abuse me. My life and my dignity was threatened three times and they threatened to rape me after I was transferred to the Greater Tehran Prison and I barely could defend myself.
'The warden, the guards, the incited prisoners and even the prison clinic nurse are free to insult and abuse me and when I respond, I am beaten and told to behave. My only crime is to stand against injustice and tyranny.'
Political prisoner, Sohei Arabi continues: 'Now that you are not letting me go and are depriving me from being among other political prisoners and my friends, I go on dry (no food, no drink) hunger strike which I know would end up dead. At least let me donate my organs to the needy.'
