Bombings and shillings continue in Ghouta despite a unanimous vote in UNSC to halt violence for 30 days
March, 7, 2018 - In a tweet by the US State Department in Washington, the US has urged the Russians to adhere to the vote it gave at the Security Council to allow aid deliveries to the besieged area of Eastern Ghouta.
"Empty Russian Promises: #Russia voted for @UN-sponsored 30-day #ceasefire across #Syria. Russia ignored the ceasefire and bombed innocent civilians in Damascus and #EastGhouta. Russia must adhere to #UNSC Res. 2401 and allow delivery of humanitarian aid." -- @statedeptspox
